Folivana is a house of living design in Dubai. Home to rare plants, artistic planters, terrariums, moss art, flowers, a growing community of designers and still growing. With two flagship stores, its own atelier, and a team that designs and builds landscapes across the Emirates.
It began in 2015, and from a different route. Before there were stores, there were projects: landscapes for villas, hotels and public spaces, preserved moss and green walls made in our own workshop, gardens delivered across the UAE.
Over the years, the work kept widening, bespoke trees, terrariums, an atelier that grew into one of the largest of its kind in the country. And in time, the house opened its doors: first at the Art of Living Mall in Al Barsha, then in Jumeirah, facing the Burj Al Arab, where the collections are now open to everyone.
Today, Folivana works at every scale. The stores carry plants, planters, flowers and the works of our studio, shipped wherever you are. The atelier creates moss and green walls of any size or shape. The project team designs, builds and cares for complete landscapes and for occasions, the house dresses events from a single piece to a full transformation.
Different rooms of one house atelier and studio, site and store held to a single standard: nothing enters Folivana that was not chosen deliberately. And beneath it all, one conviction - people feel better when they live close to nature, and that closeness can be designed. A single stem on a table achieves it. So does a landscape around a home. Folivana exists for everything in between.
Folivana is the work of its founder, Hemin M. He is a biophilic designer, and bringing nature into the places people live has been his life's work. He carries an unusual patience for detail. He began in 2015 with landscapes and moss work, and built the company piece by piece: the atelier, the projects team, and in time the two stores and things are even big for what's upcoming. Ask those who work alongside him what made it grow, and the answer is usually the same. It is the way he works. He holds a high bar, holds it for himself first, and the people around him find their own rising to meet it.
Along the way he has drawn together a team that cares about this work the way he does. Designers, horticulturists, gardeners and florists, many of whom have been with the house for years. He would likely tell you that of everything Folivana has made, the team is the work he is proudest of.

His plans reach well beyond what exists today, toward everything a house built around nature could still become.
